Updates
New songs, videos, and interviews! New Things Roundup!
Hello to all you followers of things I do!
I thought that I’d send an update on what I’ve been up to recently.
New Songs
Post Evening Star, I’ve had two singles, the second of which came out everywhere just two days ago.
“If This Is The End” is about how the rapture didn’t happen last year. There were some people online who were so convinced that the world was going to end that they called all their friends and family to say goodbye and left notes in their houses for whoever may be living there next after the Earth descended. This song is about that.
“i am” is a song I wrote with fellow online guitarist Chris Wallace. If you don’t know Chris, you should check him out. He’s got this completely unique way of playing really percussively and quickly with a thumb pick. We wrote and recorded this song in a day in LA last January and have finally put it out! It contains one of my favorite choruses I’ve ever written.
Live Sessions
Here are some live sessions (just me and my guitar) that you can find on YouTube:
Seawall Sessions: Charlotte. With guitarist Emmy Borakove on the background noise! I went to high school with her. She’s really cool.
Seawall Sessions: The Axe. Also with Emmy!
Audiotree: The Gold cover. A bonus YouTube vid from my Audiotree live sessions.
Evening Star Live Sessions: In case you missed it, I did the whole album live on a bedroom set that we built (you’ve seen it on the cover of the album). Each song, the camera backs up a bit until the whole scene is revealed. A beam of light projects onto an object that represents each song as it’s being played. Like I-Spy! You can also buy the audio on Bandcamp.
Interviews
with Adam Perlmutter. A written interview here on Substack. We got VERY nerdy- into the weeds of harmony, technique, etc! So fun.
Seawall Sessions Interview. Did this right after the live performances!
Merch
There are Evening Star vinyls, CDs, tab books (physical and digital), t-shirts, and hoodies for those of you who want them! Buying some merch really helps me out (obviously). What a time to be in this industry (although I’m sure you’re hearing that from everyone)!
A happy holiday weekend if you live in the US! I am at the lake (the lake from The Lake) breathing in the fireworks and trying to keep cool. And writing. So watch out!

spider boat for the win
hey off topic but id like to thank you for all the tabs youve making for already quite a long time. i never imagined that i would ever be able to play one of your songs and keep up, but practicing all of them helped me get actually better on guitar. i love every time you talk about position and ergonomic stuff in playing, and practicing it on a nylon guitar, in an Emma Harner track is actually singular. great inspiration, you r!
