Touring Musician Rig Rundown: Emma Harner (Nov/Dec '24)
A rundown of gear I was using for my solo half-hour opening sets for Orla Gartland and The Bygones this past winter.

Guitars
Yamaha CSF3M (passive pickup)
Schecter PT Fastback II (2 splittable double coil pickups)
These two guitars were excellent choices for me because 1) the telecaster-style bridge can take alternate tunings really well, and 2) I never had to replace a 9v battery as both of these guitars have passive pickups. You’ll also notice that I have ribbons tied above the nut on each guitar. They’re just sentimental/decorative :)
Acoustic Setup
LR Baggs Venue DI (and convenient carrying case)
1-Spot 9v AC-DC wall adapter
Gator 1/4 inch cable with right angle
Note: I kept notecards in the LR Baggs DI case (behind the pedal) on which to write my set lists. I would make 2 a night and try to give them out after my set. The right angle cable allowed me to set the Yamaha back on its stand while still plugged in.
Electric Setup
Gator Cases Compact Pedal Board
MXR Mini Iso-Brick Power + 18v AC-DC Adapter
TinyTune tuning pedal
Bogner Harlow Boost Pedal (I use as a tone-setter)
MXR Analog Chorus Pedal
Fathom Reverb Pedal by Walrus Audio
Livewire DI Box
Livewire 20 ft 1/4inch cable (too long)
Necessary cables (1/4inches between every pedal, power cables to each pedal)
Note: The Gator pedalboard lays flat and was really was a game-changer. It fit in the front pocket of my padded gig bag, so I could bring pedals along without the extra item to carry. This came in handy especially when I had to fly, which I did twice.
Other Bits
SE V7 dynamic microphone
MAOYE Portable digital alarm clock (battery powered)
Hercules EZpack Guitar Stand (2)
Extension cord
Note: The alarm clock was a later addition to my setup but turned out to be a very important addition. As an opening act, I needed to be respectful of the timeline set by the headliner and by the venue, and that meant ending the set on time. For some reason, I couldn’t bring myself to take my phone onstage to display the time. The thought just felt… wrong. Hence the digital clock!
It was a joy seeing you on stage <3
Nice Emma
